Selling your home can be a busy time. Moving from your home will go smoothly if you stay focused on your goal.
Make sure to disconnect your utilities. When your closing is scheduled, it’s time to schedule the end of utilities and home services at the home you are selling.
Be sure to call at least a week or two in advance of your closing to ensure the utilities are out of your name on the day of your closing.
Here is some contact information to help you with this process.

If you aren’t sure which electric or gas company provides service to your home, just start dialing. Customer service representatives at most utility companies are very good about telling you if your new home is in their service area or not. Chances are, they will tell you which is the correct utility company and give you the phone number to call.
Here’s to a smooth transition!
